The Giving Tree Needs all of us!!

 

The need this year at Lovinggood cannot be overstated.  We have many that need our help.  We more than half way through the Giving Tree season, and we have so many unclaimed ornaments.  Please send your student to the Giving Tree with their completed permission slip to pick an ornament off the tree.  A link for the permission slip has been provided below. 

 

 

We are also in need of a few more Giving Tree Volunteers for next week and Monday, December 15th.  Hours 8:30-9:15 a.m.  Please consider a donation of your time as well.

6th Grade Party Needs YOU! 

 

Dear Parents,

 

The 6th grade Holiday Party will be Wednesday, December 17th at 2:30pm. Your help is needed!  We will be asembling Party bags for the students, and auctioning off other items.

 

The 6th grade teachers have decided that we will have a Party bag for each student. This will include a water, juice, salty item, sweet item, candy cane and 5 "Starbucks" ("Goodwork" awards the students are working on earning) in each bag. The teachers are sending home the notices for the food items, but we will need to stuff 400 bags the morning of the party. With the help of 10 volunteers (yes, that's you!) that morning of the 17th, we can do this in an hour or two. I would need volunteers by 9:15 a.m. I can let you know the location later.

 

Please email me or call if you can help that morning. We will also have to deliver the bags to the teachers or find a room and have teachers come pick up their bags.

 

They have also requested auction items, too. The students are already earning starbucks and on that day at the party, they can put their name on their starbucks into the container of an item they wish to win, and the names will be drawn to win. They are suggesting $5.00 to $10.00 gift certificates to such places as movies, Target, Walmart, Game Stop, Barnes and Noble, American Eagle, Blockbuster etc. Please consider donating one of these items and let me know asap if you can. I will meet you to pick it up at school anytime between now and then. You could also get games, cd's, movies etc. We would like about 30 items to auction.

 

Last but not at all least. We need volunteers for the afternoon of the party. Their will be movie rooms, social rooms, game rooms, karaoke rooms and each of them need a couple volunteers for each. I will need this for each team. Please let me know if you are available at 2:15 that afternoon. This is a lot of fun.
