Deadline Rapidly Approaching
 We all know that Lovinggood is a GREAT school! ONE of the MANY reasons that Lovinggood is so great is because of the involved PTSA that supports it.  Think of a sundae without the cherry or the cake without the icing.  Sure, it’s good, but it is so much better with the extras!

 

Many of you may not realize what the PTSA does for the school.  Well, we would like to share just a few things thus far this year in hopes of encouraging those that have not yet signed up to be a member to join:
  •  RACHEL’S CHALLENGE ASSEMBLY for which created the ‘Chain Links Club’ encouraging students to spread kindness by their actions.
  • HONORS CELEBRATIONS celebrating the achievement of our students each semester.
  • CLINIC DONATIONS to provide much needed supplies for our students (bandages, water, juices, snacks, etc).
  • MEDIA CENTER DONATIONS to increase offerings to students.
  • PE DONATIONS for new fitness equipment.
  • CRCT MATERIALS used in all classrooms to get students prepared for testing in the spring.
  • TEACHER LEARNING GRANTSwith a requirement that they must benefit all students they teach
AND MUCH MUCH MORE!!

 

All we ask is that each family have at least ‘one’ member of the family join PTSA.  The cost is $5 – a minimal charge for improving your child’s education.

 

The deadline for being recognized by Georgia PTA for 100% membership is rapidly approaching.  We have until the END OF FEBRUARY to submit the LAST 14 MEMBERSHIPS needed to reach this goal.  Let’s show Georgia PTA that Lovinggood MS is serious about supporting our students and school.

We will meet on Monday morning, so come if you can!
The meeting is set at 9:00am to start,
and no later than 10:00am will we depart!

Ticket Orders & Payments MUST Be Sent to the Atlanta Hawks
  
Order early! Tickets valued at $52-$70 on the 200-level of Philips Arena are currently being reserved for Georgia PTA members for just $40each. Early purchases will ensure the best available seating selections. Seating will vary. Orders will be assigned seat locations on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Tickets may be ordered online using a credit card or US mailed with a check or money order toAtlanta Hawks at the address listed below.  Ticket orders received by February 21, 2010 will be US mailed to the address provided on the Atlanta Hawks order form. All ticket orders received after February 21, 2010 must be picked up on game day at the Philips Arena Will Call window by the person named on the order form.  Proper Photo I.D. must be presented before tickets are released.
 
Georgia PTA will receive $10 for each ticket sold and will donate $5 back to local units for every Atlanta Hawks Fundraiser e-coupon printed out and submitted with an Atlanta Hawks game ticket stub to the Georgia PTA Membership table. The PTA Membership table will be in the food concourse on the day of the game.  Be sure to include your PTA unit number on your Atlanta Hawks Fundraiser e-coupon.  Georgia PTA will send fundraiser checks by March 31, 2010 to your school PTA.
